About Bibingkinitan Franchise

Bibingkinitan’s success story began with the dreams of young entrepreneur Richard Sanz. In 2004, at age 23, he left his job at a multinational firm and set up a small beverage stall in Alabang Town Center.

Although the venture was a success, he felt that the business still had a lot of room to grow. Upon asking for suggestions from his family, Richard came up with the idea of selling their favorite rice cake, bibingka. In 2006, Bibingkinitan was introduced in the market.

Bibingka are Filipino rice cakes baked in banana leaves topped with salted duck egg and a variety of cheeses. Every Filipino loves Bibingka and is part of our tradition, heritage, and history.

The brand offered mini-sized bibingka. Bibingkinitan’s main product, as suggested by its name, is the Filipino snack “Bibingka”.  Bibingka is a Filipino rice cake that is popularly being sold during the Christmas season, especially right after the “Simbang Gabi” masses.

Traditionally a 10-inch wide rice cake, FoodAsia innovated the rice cake thru Bibingkinitan in 2006 taking Manila by storm by making it smaller and bite-sized, hip and cool, and affordable. This innovation garnered much awards and recognition for Bibingkinitan.

Now with over 200 stores in the whole Philippines, Bibingkinitan is the largest and leading Filipino baked-goods and coffee chain well-loved by Filipinos and foreigners alike, of all ages, gender, and income bracket. Filipinos being very family-oriented, often hang out and enjoy together with a box of Bibingkinitan and cups of coffee, whether at home or in our sit-in stores.

Recognized and awarded in the local food industry as one of the most innovative companies, Bibingkinitan regularly introduces new products such as rice cakes with a variety of meat fillings, rice doughnuts, cheese rice cakes and many more.

They offer products such as BibiKape—bibingka served with a cup of strongly brewed kapeng barako—and bibingka with flavors like macapuno, pastillas, ube, and peanut butter.

Eighty percent (80%) of total stores are owned and operated by FoodAsia, and the remaining owned and operated by franchisees.
